About

The Central Highlands Water Sports Club is situated at Lake Maraboon/Fairbairn Dam and is nestled between the public access area and the Ski Club with an area of fenced off dam frontage. The club has been established since 1985 and was original the old Water Safety facility.

In the past our club has been made available to various junior sporting groups, organisations such as Anglicare and public groups such as the Scouts. We have also sponsored disadvantaged youth, to assist with schooling supplies and excursions.

We are a small family orientated non-profit club whose members enjoy quiet quality time with their close family and good friends either relaxing by the water or enjoying time on the dam fishing, red-clawing, skiing, tubing and many other water sports activities. Members are welcome to use toilet and shower facilities for day trips, and we also have two shelters available by the water’s edge to provide shade on those hot summer days.

So you can extend your time at the dam, we also have a camping area available on the waterfront for a minimal fee . Our clubhouse is also available for nightly hire or functions. The clubhouse is a double storey fully equipped building including kitchen and bathroom/shower facilities, gas bbq, large area for sleeping under fans and a wide balcony offering expansive views of the Fairbairn Dam -perfect for watching our fabulous sunsets over the water. There is a wood fired bbq on a large grassy area and a big firepit with sitting area for ending your day around a campfire.
